Apr 02, 2014  Traktor Pro 2: How do I get the best quality for internal recordings? So pretty much whenever I record a mix, I'll play the recording and notice that the quality is a lot worse. I've tried changing the gain on it but so far nothing has worked. May 28, 2014  You can start the Setup Wizard in two ways: ► Select Start Setup Wizard in the Help menu of the Application Menu Bar (to see this bar, Fullscreen mode must be deactivated). ► Click the Setup Wizard button at the bottom left corner of the Preferences window. • Hey whats up fellow Djs. My current setup is just a Numark Mixtrack. I love it but I don’t see my self using the jogwheels like I used to and I feel like I don’t need it anymore. I’m thinking of getting a Kontrol X1 and a 2 or 4 channel mixer and leave it at that. The only question I have about this setup is if I can have deck A hooked up to channel 1 and have deck B hooked up to channel 2?

Yes but you’d need a sound card somewhere in that as the X1 doesn’t have one. That, or use a mixer with a built-in sound card like the DJ-Tech X10.

Paris hilton no auto tune. If you got a basic two channel mixer and an A2DJ, you could then take that out with you and plug into other mixers. Wheras with a digital mixer you’d either have to take that with you to gigs, or buy a separate soundcard (like the A2DJ) anyway. Create windows application using dev c++.

This is my setup: HP laptop, X1, Audio Kontrol 1, roland vm3100 mixer, hard drive of music. This is my minimal travel kit. Audio 1&2 go into channel 7&8 of mixer. Main mixer outs go into PA wherever I’m playing or speakers direct.

Midi map the dial on the AK1 as the Crossfader on the mixer within Traktor.

Use the headphones from the AK1 (3&4) not the external mixer. Learn how to beatmatch by ear within Traktor but use Sync as needed. This is all you need.

If you want this type of setup with an analog mixer you will need a soundcard that has seperate outputs for each deck. If you’re just using deck A and B, an Audio 4 or 6 would do (or equivalent compatible soundcard).

Check out example 3 at NI’s Audio 6 page: http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-audio-6/?page=1963 This show a basic block diagram of the kind of setup I believe you are asking about. Then just add the X1 and you’re good.

If you’re not going for timecode control the audio 2 is enough for 2 decks!

the audio 2 dj has 2 stereo outputs. so you assign each deck to one of the outputs which then go into the channels of your 2-channel mixer. done.

well, that is using it as a soundcard… you tell traktor to use the audio 2 as soundcard and then you have two channels which can be assigned to whatever traktor deck you like.
