Use Windows apps on your Mac

Is your favorite MMORPG available only for Windows? Do you have all your financial data in a Windows-only accounting app? Need to test webpages in Windows? No problem—just install Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp.

To browse the Boot Camp Assistant User Guide, click Table of Contents at the top of the page.

Boot Camp is a program that allows users of Intel-based Macintosh computers to run the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Once Boot Camp has been installed on the Mac's hard drive, the machine can be restarted (re-booted) using either Mac OS X or Windows XP. Boot Camp will be incorporated as a standard feature of the next release of Mac. In an ideal world, you switch between OS X Lion and Windows by restarting the Mac and then booting into whichever operating system you want to use. Unfortunately, right after you install Windows via Boot Camp, you find that you’re living in a Windows world.
