Mar 13, 2015  I am the owner of a Xone 42 and Xone K2. I want to use my external soundcard and not the soundcard of the K2. Unfortunately it doenst work with Traktor Pro. When I select my soundcard and the K2 is connected, Traktor is not able to play tracks. I tried ASIO4all but this also does not fix the problem. Also disabling the Xone K2 audio driver did.

• Hey all I posted a while back about this and was asked to supply some more info, so here I am 🙂

  I am hoping someone could shed some light on this issue.

  I recently purchased a A&H Xone K2 midi controller and I am using it with Traktor 2. I was using it with version 2.01 but I am now using it with the latest version and the problem has persisted. Basically, whenever I am using it for a long period of time, say over 30 mins, the controller will randomly lock up, the controls will no longer work and a horrible distorted buzzing sound replaces the music. All the decks in Traktor stop dead at the exact point this happens. This is obviously not good for playing out. If I then disconnect the USB and reconnect it a couple of times, it suddenly jumps back to life exactly where it has frozen and the tracks start playing again.

  Do you think I may have a faulty unit? Any advice would be much appreciated. Here are my specs:

  Laptop: Sony Vaio with Windows 7 64bit os
  Processor: Intel Core i3 CPU M370 2.40 GHz
  RAM: 4.00 GB
  Traktor Pro 2 version 2.6
  Xone K2 USB ASIO drivers

  I have exactly this same problem, it doesn’t happen all the time, sometimes works for 8 hours + other times it crashes after 20 minutes……………… I use Traktor 2.4 and a sony Vaio i7.

  Fabrizio: I would have first said that you should check if there is a firmware update for the mixer. Then make sure that you have updated the drivers etc. and Traktor as well.

  Once you have done that, are you in a hot room? Is your laptop overheating and/or maxing out it’s CPU? Are the drivers causing Traktor to crash if they are a bit buggy?
